Pomp and Fireworks

Opening Ceremonies:
Music, opera style, accompanying para-sails and jet-skis started the show. Looking their best, the teams filed through the spectator area on their boats, with Shosholoza and BMW Oracle getting the loudest cheers.

Next was definitely one of the better fireworks shows I have ever seen. Artistic planning made the show interesting and towards the end of the 20-minute show everyone was cheering because of the raucous buildup to the finale.

Once over, there was plenty of applause before heading back out to the chaos of the roundabout and jostling to get on the number 19 bus.
