Luna Rossa wins the tie-break with Alinghi because Luna Rossa has the highest finish position of the two teams, a 1st in Race 4.  Similarly, China Team's best finish was 8th while Shosholoza's best finish was 9th.

Act 5 Points: Points earned through winning Louis Vuitton Act 5 Races and used to calculate placing in Act 5 standings.

LVC Points:  Placing in each Act earns points toward qualifying for the 2007 Louis Vuitton Cup.  The points are awarded based on final standing in the Act and the number of challengers competing.  Luna Rossa, as the top challenger finisher in Act 5 earns 11 points toward the Louis Vuitton Cup qualifying, since 11 challengers competed in the Act. 

*As Defender of the America's Cup, Alinghi will not be racing for the Louis Vuitton Cup and earns no LVC points regardless of placing. We have included here the points Alinghi would have earned in her finishes for the purpose of comparison.
