RepCast near-range weather outlook for the Louis Vuitton Race courses through Round Robin 1.

Friday:
Initially the sun will rise over a sparkling day on the Waitemata Harbour, the wind will be out of the SW quarter -- the prevailing wind for this time of year. Morning breeze will be around 10-12 knots but will pick up in the afternoon to a good 18-22 knots. Temperature will be about 20-22 Celsius high but will feel warmer out on the boats. Sea State will be fairly calm with spectator wash being the only worry. High tide is about 11am and tide will be following the wind in the afternoon. Swell? About 10 cm.

Saturday:
It's another fine day out on the Harbour.  Morning breeze will be around 12-15 knots, but will pick up in the afternoon to a good 22 knots gusting up to 26 knots to test the sailors mettle on unfamiliar boats.

Temperature will be a touch warmer about 22-23 Celsius high but will feel warmer out on the boats.  Sea state will be fairly calm with spectator wash being the only worry - otherwise it will be a mill pond.  High tide is about 11:21am and tide will be following the wind in the afternoon.

Sunday:
Pretty much the same -- about 15-19 knots SW

Monday:
Things will begin to get interesting. The wind will start about 18-21 knots from SSW in the morning and swing around to be about 13-16 knots due East but rising to 20 knots later in the day. The sea state will start to lift and you'll see wind waves anything up to 70cm later in the afternoon against the outgoing tide (high tide is 2pm local time -- effect will be dependent on the course selected)

Tuesday:
NE 23 knots -- gusting to 28 knots. You'll see a lot of choppy waves on the harbor with rising energy most of the day anything up to a 1 metre with the wind swinging more toward due East -- high tide is 2:35pm.

Wednesday:
More of that stuff from the East and some more choppy waves - 23-26 knots from due East.
