Cup in 1995 as a challenger, and defended the Cup in 2000 before losing to the Swiss
Alinghi in 2003. ETNZ won the Louis Vuitton Cup in 2007, before losing
5-2 as challenger that year, again to Alinghi, in the
32nd America's
Cup Match. |
Luna Rossa holds the position of Challenger of Record for the 36th America's Cup. Previously the team was the Challenger in the 2000 America's Cup Match against TNZ, losing 5-0, and was a challenger candidate in 2007 and 2013. |

INEOS TEAM UK is the successor to the Land Rover/BAR team that was a challenger candidate in the 2017 America's Cup, racing well in the Louis Vuitton World Series Regattas, then eliminated in the Qualifier Semi-Finals in Bermuda. | |
