Marketing Opportunities by Félix García Michel Bonnefous (CEO of AC Management), met with Valencia officials, including Mayor Rita Barberá, José Salinas (Executive Director of the Consortium Board of Governors of the 32nd America's Cup Valencia 2007), and Cristobal Grau (Sports Delegate of the Valencia City Council), January 7 at the Salón Pompeyano of City Council. They agreed to hold a seminar in Geneva in February to address marketing the image of the city of Valencia. This is one of the first stages in the promotion of Valencia's international reputation in the coming months. The authorities of Valencia will meet with the Swiss authorities during their visit to Switzerland next month and determine parallel plans for the celebration of the regatta. Rita Barbera showed Michel Bonnefous the extensive coverage given the city in the major international print and broadcast media, as well as the congratulations that have been received by the City Council of Valencia since the announcement last November 26th. Barberá also told Bonnefous of plans for a meeting of the European Union Committee of the Regions at the European Parliament on the 11th and 12th of February in order to promote in unison the 32nd America's Cup, the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, and the XX Olympic Winter Games in Turin in 2006
